A rather candid interview (in French) with Microsoft VP for Office development, Antoine Leblond (a fellow Québécois).
Not much new information but it gives some insight into the ideas motivating that development team. Their emphasis on workplace scenarios is understandable yet one might wonder if that side of computing ("IT," "productivity," "enterprise," "corporate") may benefit from some of the other sides of computing (research, science, arts, academic, community, gaming, entertainment…). After all, many people are doing so much more with computers now than most of them did just a few years ago.
